HR and OH cleared!

Posted: June 13, 2011 in Uncategorized

So this is finally happening…I had my appointments with HR and occupational health today. Thank god for saving all my blood forms etc from when I was working for the NHS a million years ago and I got cleared so no need to give blood again.

I actually wrote down my bank details to get paid and not to pay someone which was a big change.

Five years holding back on so many things(shopping, holidays) is enough.

I am actually looking forward to start working now.I know I will probably eat my words but I waited for so long for this. I literally put my life(and my husbands life) on hold. I wish I could have a holiday break until I start work but hey can’t have everything.

Howdy!

After about 6 weeks of no stress, things are again pilling up…have to sort out a huge amount of paperwork sent by Human resources and I have currently spend by now a substantial amount of my precious ££’s for my graduation…I still haven’t book a photography package which ranges from £125-£250 and the prospect of having a holiday before i start working is wishful thinking.

Next week we have a week of lectures that will supposedly calm everyone down about being left of your own to play Doc…I am so counting on this..

They say …’You’ll never know untill you try’..Well here I am trying to blog again.

It is the end of era,I have progressed from a medical student to a doctor, and in less that 3 months I will be a Foundation Year 1 doctor.I am looking forward to all the new challenges I am about to face and regardless of the horror stories, this is going to be my life from now on.

So WARNING, there might be some moaning, some excitement, some disappointment and a lot of bambamology to get me through.
